without the practice of creating through art and movement (both on the earth and in the sea) i am lost in this world.  my hope for this blog is to share my art, my love for movement, ocean and the practices that i am finding to be most vital and healing in my life.  so here is to those of you who like me, are reclaiming your gifts and beginning to share them.  bless.

a little more about me:

dropped out of college after my first year until…

FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) New York City, NY graduate cum laude with a B.A. in Illustration 2006

Studied the Masters of Renaissance Art in Florence, Italy 2005

FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) Los Angeles, CA graduate honors with A.A. in Visual Communications 2001

Most recently completed artist and professor Arvie Smith summer intensive drawing course at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland Oregon, 2010

~ born and raised on the west coast, i’ve been painting and drawing since i could hold a brush.  was very protective of my sketchbooks all through high school, only sharing my art with a few friends until years later, through a lot of life change and growth, i began to see my art as something worth pursuing in a serious way.  so i headed for NYC to finish my B.A. in the amazing Illustration program at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology).  graduating in 06, i moved back to the west coast to be near my family and close friends shortly after.  a few winters in the cold north west post New York and college, i was ready for some sun and in need of some real ocean healing!  so i set my sites on Hawai’i and have been living here on the beautiful north shore of O’ahu for over a year.
